Angela Waggoner
Director of Clinical Operations
MSN, APRN, ENP-C
Angela Waggoner, MSN, APRN, ENP-C, is a Board-Certified Emergency Room Nurse Practitioner with over 14 years of Emergency Room experience. Angela began her nursing career in 2004 as a Certified Nurse Assistant in the Emergency Department. Angela worked full-time while continuing her education to obtain her Associates Degree in Nursing in 2006, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009, and ultimately her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2013 through Graceland University. Mrs. Waggoner obtained her Emergency Certification through The American Association of Nurse Practitioners in 2018. Mrs. Waggoner holds certification in ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and is a registered SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner). In both 2006 and 2009, Mrs. Waggoner volunteered to provide patient care to the citizens of Guatemala during her mission trips with ER Abroad: Mission Possible, which has always held an incredibly special place in her heart. Mrs. Waggoner transitioned to the Urgent Care setting in 2017 at Urgent Clinics Medical Care in League City, providing direct patient care at the Tuscan Lakes clinic, and in 2019, accepted the promotion to Director of Clinical Operations. Mrs. Waggoner lives in the League City area with her husband, 4 children, and 3 dogs. In her meantime, she greatly enjoys the outdoors, vacations, and spending quality time with her family and fur babies.

Derek Bonn
APRN, MSN, FNP-BC
Derek Bonn, APRN, MSN, FNP-BC, is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of Emergency Room experience. Derek began his career in the greater Houston area in 1988 as an Emergency Medical Technician. After working for many years as a Paramedic, Derek advanced his career in patient care, and in 1999 graduated as a Registered Nurse from San Jacinto College. Derek worked as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department until 2017. During that time, Derek obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas and worked as both a charge nurse and ER nurse manager. During his career as a Registered Nurse, Derek became a Certified Emergency Nurse and was an active participant in the Emergency Nurses Associated. In 2002, Derek became the chairman of the board for the Gulf Coastchapter and was elected President in 2003. After obtaining his Master’s Degree from Walden University in 2017, Derek has gained certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support, worked in a primary family care setting and the Urgent Care setting. Derek is proud to be part of the UCMC team and enjoys providing patient care at the Tuscan Lakes clinic. Derek lives close to the League City area and lives with his wife of 28 years. In his off time, Derek enjoys the many sporting venues Houston has to offer and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Donnis Hunter
Regional Clinic Manager
LVN, SA-C
Donnis T. Hunter Jr., LVN,SA-C, is a Board-Licensed Vocational Nurse and Nationally Certified Surgical Assistant with over 14 years Clinical and Operating Room experience. Donnis began his nursing career in 2003 as a Certified Surgical Technologist AAS in the Operating Room. Donnis worked full-time while continuing his education to obtain his Certification as a Surgical First Assistant in 2006, and LVN in 2009, and is currently working towards his RN. Mr. Hunter is also an enlisted NCO in the Texas State Guard Medical Battalion. Mr. Hunter transitioned to the Urgent Care setting in 2019 at Urgent Clinics Medical Care as the Regional Clinical Manager. Mr. Hunter lives in the Port Neches, TX with his wife, 1 son, and the family dog. In his spare time, he greatly enjoys playing music with his band, vacations, riding motorcycles and spending quality time with his family.

Angela Twilley
MPAS, PA-C
Angela Twilley has been a Physician Assistant for over 14 years. She began working at Urgent Clinics Medical Care upon its inception in 2014 on the management team as the Director of Advanced Practice Clinicians. She then decided to take a more active role in patient care and now works treating patients at our Creekside location in League City. Prior to working at UCMC, Mrs. Twilley worked for Greater Houston Emergency Physicians (GHEP) in the Emergency Department at Mainland Medical Center. Mrs. Twilley’s educational background includes her Master of Physician Assistant Studies (2005), Certification in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (2014), along with her NCT X-ray technician certification (2013). Mrs. Twilley holds certification in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support). Mrs. Twilley is active in the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Texas Academy of Physician Assistants. Mrs. Twilley is local resident of League City and loves serving her community. She is also a mother of 2 boys, who keep her very busy outside of work. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband and kids, dancing, kickboxing, reading, and spending time outdoors.

Jim Patton
MSN, RN, FNP-C
Jim Patton, MSN, RN, FNP-C is certified by the AANPCB as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He began his career in Nursing in 2012 after obtaining his Associate of Science Degree in Nursing from Amarillo College in the panhandle. After graduating he worked on a Cardiology unit in Amarillo, and immediately enrolled in classes to obtain his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. In 2013, Jim and his family relocated to the Houston area, and he accepted a position with HCA Houston Southeast, formerly Bayshore Medical Center, in the Emergency/Trauma Department. Finally settling for good in League City in 2014, Jim carried on his career with HCA in the Emergency Department at the Woman’s Hospital of Texas, while continuing his education. He graduated from Walden University in Minneapolis in January of 2017, earning his Master of Science in Nursing Degree and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Always a fan of trauma, Jim converted to the Urgent Care setting, joining the UCMC team in early 2018. Jim lives with his wife, twin boys and a plethora of pets in League City. Nearby are two more sons and a daughter, their spouses and 6 grandchildren. When he’s not caring for people in the clinic, he can often be found sitting with his wife and family in their backyard getaway, working in the garage or making music.

Virgust Dykes
Certified Physician Assistant
Virgust Dykes is a Certified Physician Assistant who has been with our Urgent Clinics Medical Care at the Pearland location since 2017. He completed his education at Saint Francis University in 2013 with a Masters of Medical Science. His experience includes urgent and primary care where he worked in community medicine managing chronic conditions of diabetes, hypertension, etc. He is also well versed in muscolskeletal injuries and occupational medicine; which stems from being a Licensed Athletic Trainer and treating atheltic sports injuries in undergrad at the University of Texas at Austin..

Rachel Espinal
MHA, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Rachel Espinal, MHA, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Rachel began her nursing career in 2013 when she began working as a Nurse Tech/Patient Care Assistant in the Neonatal ICU, followed by a Patient Concierge position with Urgent Clinics Medical Care in January 2014. Rachel continued to work full-time in the medical field while obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After becoming a RN, Rachel worked in the Emergency Department as a Staff RN, and continued to work as a RN with Urgent Clinics Medical Care. She later went to work as an Occupational Health RN. Rachel graduated as a Nurse Practitioner in 2018, and became certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. After becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Rachel began working exclusively in the Urgent Care setting with Urgent Clinics Medical Care. Rachel lives in the Friendswood area with her husband, 4 children, 3 dogs, and 2 cats. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and animals, swimming, singing, dancing, playing outdoors, and going on family trips.
